A. - The Book Bone Yard was started to help UGA students easily and quickly find a buyer/seller of used textbooks that are being used at the University.

Q. - How much does it cost me to sell my used textbooks on The Book Bone Yard Website?

A. - Absolutely nothing. There are never any site usage fees to sell your books. This site is designed as a student-to-student exchange site so that you can get a better return when selling your used textbooks.

Q. - How much does it cost me to buy used textbooks on The Book Bone Yard Website?

A. - There are never any site usage fees to buy your books on our Website. The only costs you will incur is the amount you pay to the seller for the textbook.

Q. - How do I search for a textbook on this Website?

A. It is very easy to search for the textbooks you need. There are six different ways to search for the books you need. Simply click on the "Search For Books" button on the navigation panel.

Q. - How do I sell my textbooks on this Website?

A. - Selling your textbooks is also very easy. First, register as a Site user. Wait a few minutes and then check your email. An account number and your password will be emailed to you. Once you receive this information, login and list your book. You will be required to enter descriptive information about each textbook to give potential buyers enough information to determine if your books meet their needs.

Q. - How much should I charge for my used textbooks?

A. - That is entirely up to you. But first, we encourage you to see how much you will receive under a "book buy-back" program at the local book dealers. Then you will see the need for this Site! In determining your price, however, just remember you can always lower the price if it doesn't sell.

Q. - How can I change information on the Website that I have listed about one of my textbooks?

A. - Changing listed information is very easy! Simply login. All of the books you have listed will appear. Click on the title of the book that you want to change. Then submit your changes. It's just that easy!

Q. - Can I change my email address or password that is on record for me?

A. - Sure...just login, click on "Update Profile Information" and simply make the changes you want.

Q. - I don't remember my password and/or account ID. Do I have to re-register?

A. - No! Click on the "Forgot Your Password" link and answer the four questions, then click the "Send" button. Within minutes, your login information will be emailed to the email address that we have on record for you.

Q. - How do I get in touch with the student selling the textbook?

A. - Once you find the textbook you want, click on the "I Want To Buy This Book" button. Then, fill in your first and last name and your email address. After you click the "Submit" button, an email will be sent to the owner of the book. They will get back in touch with you by email and arrange the purchase exchange.

Q. - How do I keep from getting emails after I sell my textbook?

A. - Click on the "Delete 'Sold' Textbooks" link. Login and click on the "Delete Sold Book(s)" button. Then, click on the title of the book you want to delete. Once you click on this link, the complete information on this particular book will be permanently deleted.

Q. - What is the "Book Wish List"?

A. - Obviously, we won't have every book you may need, just like the book houses. If we don't have what you need, you can post a bulletin to let our Website users know that you need a particular book. They may have one sitting around that they no longer need. They will be able to get in touch with you by email to let you know they have it.

Q. - During a book search, what if I find a book that I don't need, but know of someone else who does need it. What do I do?

A. - On the lower portion of the book information page, there is a section provided so that you can easily email your friend the book information and where it can be found...The Book Bone Yard!

Q. - Why do you list your competitor's Websites in Google Ads?

A. - We're providing this site as a service to you and we want you to find the books you need and to be able to sell the books you no longer need. So, if our site is not working for you, try one of theirs!

Q. - What if I cannot find a course prefix and discipline under which to list my book; what do I do?

A. - If you cannot find the proper course prefix and discipline under which to classify your textbook, scroll to the bottom of the selection list and choose "Unsure / Other".
